It is hard to believe it has been almost 1 year since I have posted last. My oldest daughter was away at her grandfather's house in New Jersey. My youngest was still taking long afternoon naps that enabled me to post. I had good intentions on posting everyday. I was not going to give up the fight..lol! So, does anyone else feel that this great country of ours is in a weird place? Almost as life were just happening to people instead of people making life happen. Seems as if most people are going with the flow. Even the Tea Party movements have subsided. Just as I fizzled out with my blog, our country fizzled out with its revolt against "the man".
So until I do some research and can start to blog my ideals, I will keep this very light-hearted. My family and I just returned from Walt Disney World. As always parts of the trip were a disaster. I am a realist as to what my children are capable of and my husband is impatient and wants to act like they are teenagers now. My son just turned 3 about a month ago and cannot keep the pace that he, my daughter and I can. One day dear, one day he will be older. As we wonder around the parks I see that our family is like most others. The cries and whimpers of children melting down fill the air. Why do we put ourselves through this? Are these the memories that will last a lifetime? No, they aren't and we will continue to do the "Big D" for our children to make their dreams come true. Even the worst meltdown is worth seeing my children's eyes light up when their favorite character or princess comes to life.
So what do you think? What special time does your family spend together? What one thing could you do to make your child's eyes almost pop out of their heads? What magic can you do for your children? Give it a try and let your heart be filled with joy and your eyes filled with tears!
